  4. If you, like myself paid out your hard earned cash for
  5. diagram master only to find out it's install to hard disk
  6. will not work on any drive but C: (contrary to what their
  7. support staff says),  Follow the following procedure and
  8. remove the silly copy protect altogether:

  10. Make a copy of DM.EXE
  11. rename it to DM.XXX
  12. use debug
  13. DEBUG DM.XXX
  14. -d cs:3FC7
  15.     you should see the following:
  16. 75 68 ...     if not then you've got a different version than 5.0
  17.               and this won't work.
  18.               If you see 75 68, then
  19. -e cs:3FC7 eb 68
  20. -w
  21. -q
  22. RENAME DM.XXX DM.EXE
  23.  
  24. You now have a copy of Diagram Master without the copy protect.

  26. After arguing with the Stupid freaks about the fact that some
  27. people have a hard disk with other than a C: designation,
  28. I finally gave up and spent about 3 hours tracing the code and
  29. fixed the problem myself.
